2020/2021 CLUB CHANGEOVER DINNER

At the end of every Rotary year, a Changeover Event is held where the incumbent Club President officially hands the leadership over to the incoming President. At our dinner this year, we came together to enjoy a fabulous dinner at Stanley’s Barn and Restaurant, Upper Coomera, part of the Gold Coast Motor Museum, great supporters of our Club.

Outgoing President Tony Lines handed the reins to incoming President Des Lacy, for his fourth stint as Club President. One of Tony's last duties as President was to award a Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) to Rotarian Joe Martinovic. Paul Harris Fellow awards recognise exemplary work in community service and Joe earned the award for all his efforts alongside Tony to establish and further develop our new Rotaract Club. A well deserved award – congratulations Joe!

As well as awarding the PHF, Tony inducted two honorary members into the Club – Rob and Shirley Stanford. Rob and Shirley have been long time members and supporters of the Club but are unable to commit to membership currently – Congratulations Rob and Shirley! So very well deserved and we love having you as part of the Club.

Des then, as incoming President, also inducted two honorary members himself - Kerry Dunn and Jo Lines. As wives of existing members, both Kerry and Jo go way above and beyond for the Club – always willing to roll up their sleeves and help out wherever needed, and this selfless service has not gone unnoticed. We are delighted to have you as honorary members Kerry and Jo!
Once the formalities were over, we enjoyed an evening of fellowship and socializing whilst enjoying the delicious meal and great surroundings.
