We really do have a wonderful local community. The 2022 Anzac Day march and service was a wash-out weatherwise with pouring rain throughout. Over the last 15/20 years or so, we have never had a wet Anzac Day service. Normally it is the heat and sun exposure that causes dramas for participants but this year was rather different.

However, the dreadful weather did not deter the amazing local community who were determined to pay their respects to the fallen and returned ANZAC veterans, regardless of the conditions.

Beneath a sea of umbrellas the service continued and was marked with the typical reverence and respect. The moving Last Post by the lone bugler, followed by the one minute's silence, were impeccably observed.

A HUGE thank you to everybody that attended, young and old, in numbers that did not appear to be affected by the conditions. It was wonderful to experience and we remain forever grateful to the brave souls that were remembered for their sacrifice, that we may live in peace.

Lest We Forget.
